Azure's cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and Azure Hardware Systems and Infrastructure (AHSI) is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth.
AHSI is responsible for enabling the hardware roadmap for Azure's datacenter infrastructure, hardware strategy and planning across multiple time horizons (0-1, 2-3, and 4-5+ years), and delivering hardware infrastructure into today's datacenters. We are also responsible for understanding what it means to transform the datacenter, looking beyond today's classical workloads to hyperscale workloads that will require artificial intelligence and the quantum computing systems of the future.
We are looking for a self-motivated, talented Senior Technical Program Manager to lead efforts to define and deliver the tools ecosystem that will support how we plan, collaborate, track and drive improvement as an organization. This will be a critical role, laying the groundwork for continuous organizational improvement in pursuit of best-in-industry efficiency, agility and sustainability.
* Drive efforts to deliver the best-in-class, integrated tools ecosystem
* Manage project governance, including portfolio planning and prioritization
* Own organizational alignment on short term and long-term goals
* Translate business requirements into a strategy for systems solutions
* Work with engineering groups to define capabilities, schedules and resources needed
* Aggregate requirements across multiple functional teams, driving to aligned and prioritized objectives, schedules and resource commitments
* Lead efforts spanning multiple engineering development teams
* Develop organizational Objectives and Key Results and track progress of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Define and implement iterative improvement processes include centralized issue management, analysis procedures, and reporting
* Be the escalation point for issues, helping to remove barriers and establish a sustainable, supportive, self-accountable culture of excellence and embracing risk taking in the pursuit of big goals
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, IT operations, or equivalent
* 7 years of experience in program management or development leadership
* Proven ability to lead large, cross-organizational, technical projects
Preferred:
* MBA preferred
* Working knowledge of data analytics tools (Power BI, etc.)
* PMP certification preferred
* Experience with IT Service Management, ITIL, Change Management, Release Management, Product Life Cycle preferred
* Experience with agile product development methodologies
* Hardware product development experience in the server, PC, or data center spaces
* Experience developing tools and process to support large organizations
