As a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) at Micron and located near key customers, you will serve as a primary technical contact for Microns customers and various departments within Micron.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
* Deliver technical expertise, technical support, and design wins for key Cloud customers who integrate Microns products with their own system solutions.
* Work with customers to resolve the best memory and storage footprint and best system configuration for the specific target application.
* Solve customers systems configuration and setup challenges and issues.
* Work with and support factory engineers, marketing, and other groups to develop solutions which meet customer performance and power requirements.
* Work with, provide engineering support, and drive internal marketing and development teams to determine feasibility of specific new products, packaging or features and ensuring customer specifications are met.
* Identify, build, and communicate the needed customer focused collateral (e.g., product guides, cross references, datasheets, system compatibility guides, etc.).
* Work with customers, Micron Quality, and internal engineering teams to handle quality issues in customer manufacturing and field applications.
* Provide internal strategic direction for customer systems applications and quality related objectives through collaboration with global field support teams.
Successful candidates for this position will have:
* 5 years of experience in memory (DRAM) product design/engineering, test, system validation, application engineering, or similar engineering support organizations.
* Systems and application level experience, inclusive of one or more areas: Datacenter architecture, system design, DRAM component/system test/manufacturing and troubleshooting.
* System integration experience with memory Products including DRAM and storage products.
* Able to demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills including lab testing and debug.
* Excellent verbal, written, and customer communications skills.
* Self-motivated, take initiative, and to work independently or in a team environment.
* Ability to collaborate with engineers across multiple subject areas, as well as customers of various positions including executive level interaction.
* Excellent PC usage skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent English skills, both oral and written.
* Ability to travel for up to 25% of time.
Education:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
