The Opportunity:

The Sourcing Management Office (SMO) is responsible for vendor relationship management, performance management, and for the effective Governance and management for Mattels service providers supporting Global Technology Organization (GTO). The Sourcing Management Office (SMO) is the primary liaison between IT & managed service providers to ensure Mattel gets value from the strategic service provider engagements within GTO. It aims to continuously drive and improve productivity, reduce costs and drive higher quality, leveraging provider capabilities and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) as well as industry best practices.

The Vendor Relationship Manager (VRM) is the primary liaison that builds and preserves trusting relationships between key GTO stakeholders and the managed services providers, driving both sides to embrace and live the One Team principles. The VRM should be an excellent communicator, able to work with GTO Executives and Portfolio Leads and build rapport with Service Providers and other 3rd Party vendors. The VRM should also be a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills. S/he must develop and maintain high performing, long-term win-win relationships with professional services suppliers.

What Your Impact Will Be:

* Understanding GTO needs from our Service Providers and develop plans to address them
* Identify the key stakeholders in both GTO and the Service Provider engagement team and cultivate trusting relationships to understand needs and issues
* Cultivating strategic sourcing partnerships based on trust and collaboration and driving a culture of open and honest communication following One Team principles
* Running a multi-level governance strategy for Mattels primary IT professional services suppliers that encompasses all aspects of delivery and leverages cross-functional teams
* Providing performance management of Mattels primary IT professional services suppliers (against contractual obligations), including oversight, service level management and dispute resolution
* Developing, advocating for and monitoring engagement models between supplier and IT teams to ensure best practice for Services Provider engagement, harvest and distribute new innovation across IT and correct ineffective behavior,

* Partnering with GTO teams on solution analysis, cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, performance challenges and effective issue resolution

* Identify potential relationship risk areas, and, develop, execute and monitor mitigation plan.

* Reviewing and revising Contracts, SLAs, Change Orders, and SOWs with partners to optimize benefits and minimize risks

* Performing financial analysis of supplier data, organizational spend, project data, and KPIs to assess health of the relationship, identify savings and opportunities to improve deal performance

What Were Looking For:

* Experience: 10+ years of IT and technology experience including a minimum of 5 years of IT leadership experience in areas of responsibility and in similar roles within a comparably sized company.
* Experience: 5+ years of IT vendor management, specifically with sourcing vendor management
* Proven data literacy the ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, management concepts and analytical approaches/options. The ability to translate among the languages used by executive, business, IT and other stakeholders.
* Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments.
* Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines at senior levels to influence, instill confidence and effect change to achieve common goals and demonstrate the business value of IT
* Background in Infrastructure or Operations is a big plus
* Experience in service level management and/or process excellence is a plus
* IT budgeting and financial management for department
* Strong vendor management and partner relation skills to identify and leverage resources internal and external to the enterprise to enhance capabilities that support business objectives.
* Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
* Ability to make decisions and recommendations on complex issues and present to Sr. Management
* Excellent communication & presentation skills, both written and spoken.
* Good time management and organizational skills - ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments concurrently
* Experience managing relationships and resolving conflict
* Knowledge of Service Provider contracting practices
* Problem-solving attitude
* Aptitude for fostering positive relationships
* Customer-oriented mindset
