Provide exemplary Customer Service
Greet patients in a friendly tone
Assign the correct medical record number and notify HIM for any duplicate patient records
Register patient by obtaining and entering accurate demographic information at designated workstation or at bedside.
Records insurance information, verify benefits and eligibility
Explain benefits to the patient and/or family member as needed
Obtain insurance and photo identification card copies
Assign insurance plans accurately
Scan appropriate order into the correct patients account
Verify and/or obtain prior authorization if needed
Ensure charts are completed and accurate
Welcome patient and family members in a professional manner.
Relays information between patients, family members, and clinical staff as needed
Updates demographic information as needed
Obtain signatures on documents needed to complete the registration process.
Assists patients during the checkout process by calculating and collecting a payment information and posting payments accordingly
Meet performance of productivity and quality expectations
Job Requirements
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Experience
One year of related experience preferred.

Our Health Support Center
Our Health Support Center (HSC), in Brentwood, Tennessee, has subject matter expertise in every area of healthcare operations and provider services. The HSC is organized to bring resources to bear across the continuum of care, from before a patient accesses healthcare services to after they are sent home, while keeping quality and compliance at the center.
On a daily basis, our group leaders and subject matter experts are working with our local markets to help develop and implement the right strategies that ensure healthcare thrives in their communities.

Physicians are a critical access point to care in our communities. We work to build and maintain collaborative relationships with both our employed physicians and a broad network of affiliated providers, and we provide a full spectrum of practice management and physician support to help secure the delivery of quality care today and for the future.
