The Chief Technology Office (CTO) team is currently seeking a Product Lead to join the team delivering our GetFit Product which is focused on delivering telemetry to drive global technology modernization. One of the key drivers of the CTO org is to effect change across the global technology organization to improve the way in which our 50,000 internal technologist deliver software to our business. With this comes exciting opportunities to partner with tech teams across the globe in all lines of business.
The CTO organisation drives Modern Engineering Practices across the firm and provides the pathway for technologists to improve their speed, stability, scalability, security and skills. Were focused on optimizing how apps are designed for the future, targeting solutions that are portable across multi-cloud platforms to stay resilient, scalable and maintainable.
The successful candidate will be a technical product owner with related experience in software engineering and/or architecture projects within a large scale organization. The individual must be able to effectively partner and establish relationships across line of business, function and level in order to execute initiatives contributing to the Global Technology Modernization strategy.
Responsibilities specific to this role are:
* Provide a transparent and trusted avenue for customers to voice their needs and concerns, with a data-driven system to evaluate and prioritize product feature requests
* Working closely with the Product Owner team to define the scope and vision for the product including helping to build out the product roadmap and backlog
* Advocating for, and deeply understanding, the needs of the products customers
* Documenting requirements for the product suite, understanding dependencies and breaking down complex asks into user stories
* Partnering with design to help create artefacts such as wireframes, users flows, and diagrams
* Working with the engineering teams to estimate and create sprint plans for delivery of roadmap items
* Participate in Agile team meetings such as stand-ups, backlog refinements, retrospectives and reviews
* Identify and implement improvements to the delivery flow within the team
* Collaborate with product owners across dependent systems to help manage priorities and scope
* Engagement with all lines of business on the adoption of the product
* Report on product value and performance
Experience Required
* Strong experience in product management within an agile technology organization
* Self-starter with initiative, accountability and ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team
* Strong agile, organisational, data analysis skills and the ability to coordinate multiple parallel work streams across a number of teams
* Strong collaborator and communicator who looks to foster relationships effectively with diverse groups across geographies
* Outcome oriented thinker who seeks to validate assumptions and make data driven decisions
* The ability to lead engineering and architecture discussion forums, through a deep understanding of the architecture principles, software development lifecycle, current software engineering tools and techniques and supporting frameworks and platforms
* Knowledge of Data products, API, JIRA, and Bit Bucket are desired
* Ability to innovate, think laterally and develop concepts that are embraced by end users
* Ability to articulate complex issues concisely, communicating effectively and comfortably with senior stakeholders
* Excellent reporting skills and presentation preparation skills for Senior Management
