Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

* Researches the validity of credit requests and deductions by reviewing data and following policies and procedure. Works with Sales, Operations, Distribution Centers, Credit/Collections, Accounts Receivable, and Customer Service as needed to obtain additional information for determination of validity. Must be proficient with order entry, credit memo and accounts receivable systems in order to gather data.
* If credit requests are found to be valid, associate issues customer credit memo via deduction management system. Associate follows authorization matrix and appropriate policies for any additional required approvals. If customer requests are found to be invalid, associate denies credit, enters notes in deduction management system and provides supporting documentation to Credit/Collection Department for follow up. Associate communicates with customer to inform them of denial.
* Coordinates and performs user acceptance testing as needed on deduction management tool and within deduction management process.
* Responds to customer, Customer Care, Credit/Collections and Sales inquiries related to statements, credit memos, invoices, issuance of adjustments, and deductions.
* Applies dealer payments to detailed open receivable items in SAP according to the remittance. Payments must be applied accurately and timely.
* Improves results by evaluating processes; recommending changes.
* Creates required reporting and monitors progress against goals.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

* Intermediate Excel (formulas, look ups, pivots), Word, and Outlook skills.
* Intermediate problem solving skills to analyze account detail and payment information.
* Intermediate organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.
* Must be proficient with order entry, credit memo and accounts receivable systems.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
* Basic understanding of debits and credits.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:

* High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
* Minimum two (2) years experience required in a similar role (accounts payable/receivable, finance).
* Minimum of one year experience in Customer Service, two years preferred
