Job Title: New Product Development / Design to Value (NPD / DTV) Engineering Manager Refrigeration Systems

Location: Conyers, GA

What were looking for:

Were looking for a New Product Development / Design to Value (NPD/DTV) Engineering Manager who will lead the New Product Development (NPD)/Design-to Value (DTV) Engineering team for Refrigeration Systems.

What youll be responsible for in this role:

* Accountable for new product development of refrigeration products (NPD)
* Accountable for delivery of design-to-value productivity projects (DTV)
* Supports Product Management in development of the NPD/DTV roadmap
* Evaluates cost, benefits and resources to support NPD/DTV projects
* Ensures support and compliance of the NPD Stage Gate engineering requirements:
* Concepts and intellectual property
* Design verification plan including DFMEA and modeling
* Prototype and pilot builds
* Product testing
* Design reviews
* Engineering CAD models, drawings and bill of materials
* Agency compliance
* Cost of goods sold (COGS)
* Handoffs and Training
* Provides local leadership of the DTV process:
* The creative process of the project funnel
* Ensuring team is meeting the key objectives of savings timing, rate and volume for the active projects
* Planning and monthly reporting of related of projects vs the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
* Collaborates with the leaders of Dover India Innovation Center (DIIC), Sourcing, Inside Sales, Engineering, Field Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering and Production on projects
* Introduces policies and initiatives that contribute to the overall improvement of the business
* Develops the team to accomplish NPD/DTV goals and objectives

What are the basic qualifications?

* BS in Engineering
* 8+ years relevant engineering experience
* 5+ years experience in leadership role in a manufacturing environment

What are the preferred qualifications?

* MBA or MS Engineering

* Mental Requires a relatively high degree of concentration intermittently; periods of mental effort and concentration followed by other aspects of the job with lesser concentration and attention requirements.
* Physical Requires walking/standing approximately 20%, sitting approximately 85% and lifting up to 30 lbs.; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching approximately 5 % of time.
* Manual Dexterity Requires the ability to operate computers, adding machines, copy machines, other general office equipment and to record written information.
* Audible Demands Requires ability to communicate via verbal instructions and to communicate with outside sources and internal departments in person and via telephone.
* Visual Requires the ability to read written instructions, correspondence and other documentation as well as operate office equipment such as computers and printers.
* Environmental Requires capability of performing essential job functions in an established office environment under normal lighting and climate control tolerances, with some exposure to plant or field environments with the presence of dust, fumes, noise, and fluctuating temperatures due to lack of climate control.
