Job Description
This role is responsible for leading Licensing & Retail (L&R) strategy development, key initiatives, and cross-functional activities to drive business results. Key responsibilities include:
* Lead the L&R strategy and annual business planning process (e.g., creation of related calendars, development of templates, summarization of submissions, and coordination with Finance on related budgeting work). Leverage internal and external sources of consumer, company and industry information to identify opportunity areas and challenge thinking
* Lead cross-functional efforts to develop L&Rs overall product and key category strategies including consumer targets, product positioning, key tactics and channel distribution plans.
* Lead prioritized projects within L&R and demonstrate strong project management and problem-solving skills.
* Manage key cross-functional coordination and operating processes (e.g., design prioritization routines, key priorities tracking, etc.)
* Ensure all product developed is high quality and meets brand, design and product strategy guidelines
* Develop strong relationships with Global Category/Brand teams. Understand category and brand strategies and identify opportunities to improve L&R strategic alignment. Educate Global Category/Brand teams on L&R strategies and priorities and help influence inclusion in their plans.
* Ensure successful development and execution of key internal meetings (e.g., all-team meetings, key functional gatherings) and external events (e.g., Licensing Summits and Tradeshows)
Requirements:
* Strong problem-solving skills including general analytical capabilities, understanding of quantitative and qualitative consumer insights and financial acumen.

* Strong communication skills (written, oral, and presentation)

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills:
* Project Management: Develop and execute project plans to deliver successful results
* People Management: Experience developing and driving results through direct reports.
* Stakeholder Relationship: Ability to partner with multiple internal stakeholders to gain alignment and support for L&R initiatives
* Strategy and Business Planning: Develop strategic plans and manages the BP process
* Research and Trends: Rich experience in utilizing consumer data (primary and secondary sources) and, ideally, leading research efforts from the business side.
* Problem-solving skills: Excellent, multi-dimensional problem solver with strong quantitative and financial capabilities
* Process improvement: Experience with improving processes and basic tools/frameworks
