The Compensation Finance group resides within the Corporate and Other Segment Finance group and is responsible for financial reporting and planning and analysis related to the companys various cash and equity-based compensation plans.
The group, which reports directly into the Company Controller and the Company Chief Financial Officer, seeks a Manager, Compensation Financial Reporting and Analysis with significant exposure to public company executive and other compensation plan design, GAAP accounting and related accounting control and operating processes and procedures. This individual will lead monthly and quarterly accounting close processes, compensation plan forecasting and strategic financial analysis activities, and will also support compensation plan design and other compensation related strategic initiatives and analysis. This is a highly visible role within Prudentials Finance organization which includes the responsibility for the preparation of compensation related results and analysis for senior finance and business management and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors. This position will report to the Director, Compensation Finance.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in leading monthly and quarterly financial close and forecast processes
* Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial results including the balance sheet and income statement
* Detailed understanding of plan results and key drivers
* Developing implementation plans based on long term strategic goals
* Creating presentations for senior management and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors
* Review and implement new accounting guidance as needed
* Prepare materials and analysis for senior management for the quarter close and forecast and on an ad-hoc basis
* Initiate and drive enhancements to current process and procedures
* Review internal control standards to ensure compliance with external accounting policies and standards
* Review disclosures included in the PFI 10K, 10Q and other regulatory filings
* Manage and supervise staff including identifying staff development opportunities and providing feedback on performance results
* Assist with SOX and MAR testing for the group
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance is required (CPA or MBA is a plus)
* 5 7 years of accounting, financial reporting and analysis experience
* Prior experience with public company executive compensation plans
* Strong financial acumen and thorough reviewing skills
* Ability to produce clear, concise, and insightful analysis
* Fully capable of managing multiple priorities
* Strong project management skills
* Works in a highly organized and control-oriented fashion
*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.
Salary range specific to Colorado: $107,800--$145,900 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
