Master of Business Administration

Preferred Fields of Study:
Business Administration/Management, Economics, Marketing, Supply Chain Management

Additional Educational Preferences:

Master of Public Health or Master of Health Adminstration will also be considered

Certification(s) Preferred:

APICS CSCP, APICS CPIM, ISM CPSM, ISM CSM, or ISC CPSD

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in helping companies through merchandising and omnichannel transformation.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in being a self-starter, who is able to work independently and lead workstream teams, someone who is interested in reinvesting in corporate initiatives.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in category & vendor strategy / management, core merchandising and inventory planning & strategy in addition quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills. Specific knowledge should include:

* Understanding of Category & Vendor Strategy & Management;
* Understanding of Assortment lifecycle management, channel management, merchandise financial planning and open to buy, assortment planning and line reviews, space planning, price and promo planning;
* Understanding of Merchandising Operations and Execution;
* Understanding of product information management, Perpetual inventory & inventory ledger, purchase order creation and management, price execution, hierarchy creation, management and execution;
* Understanding of Inventory Planning, Strategy & Management; and,
* Understanding of Forecasting, Replenishment, Allocation, Demand Planning, Strategic initiatives execution (BOPIS, drop ship).

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as both an individual contributor and team leader, identifying and addressing client needs with a focus on Merchandising by:

* Working with clients to improve Merchandising capabilities or experience acting as a category manager or merchant, inventory planner of products and/or services in a omnichannel retail environment;
* Developing category and vendor strategies and/or financial and inventory planning activities;
* Having exposure to RFx processes in a cross-functional environment, supplier selection, and merchandising software implementations / transformations;
* Using various analytic tools such as Excel, Access, and Tableau, Financial planning tools (OTB, MFP), Space Planning tools (Planograms), Forecasting and replenishment tools, and Order Management solutions;
* Demonstrating experience using Oracle Merchandising Solutions and JDA Merchandising Solutions;
* Identifying and addressing client needs with a focus on Merchandising; and,
* Demonstrating a record of success, as both an individual contributor and team leader.
