Job Description

As a Distribution Center Supervisor you will act as a member of a supervisory team responsible to receive, inventory, pack, load and ship Refinish products and sundry items, foreign and domestic, to meet customer requirements! You are accountable for maintaining a safe, organized and efficient distribution operation. You will coordinate the efforts of warehouse personnel and improve the use of available equipment while crafting an environment which encourages a high level of employee involvement and commitment to the Distribution Center goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain and promote a work environment free from accidents and ensure the safety and well-being of employees through effective training and housekeeping programs. Follow all Federal (DOT/OSHA/EPA), State and Local regulations, corporate policies and procedures relating to safety and environmental issues.
* Assist in the implementation of a distribution plan to achieve zero stock-out goals, maximum inventory turnover and inventory accuracy.
* Maintain a motivated, well-trained workforce and ensure implementation of fair and consistent treatment of employees by following established rules and procedures and ensure that unusual circumstances are resolved.
* Coordinate and participate in a variety of special projects to increase distribution efficiencies and promote continuous improvement.
* Develop self by utilizing the Performance Learning Process and non-exempt (distribution) evaluation system.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 1-3 years warehouse experience and/or related supervisory responsibility.
* An Associates Degree or higher in business, logistics or a related field is desirable.
* Previous Refinish or related experience with distribution of hazardous materials is preferred.
* Knowledge of Oracle Warehouse Management Software and Excel is a plus.
* Prior experience with physical inventories, audits, and automated logistics systems is highly desirable.
