Job Description

Advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy by coordinating activities within a department(s) in the Value Stream, including, but not limited to, safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee relations.

- Value Stream Team Leader responsibility includes, but is not limited to, training Team Members, delegating work assignments, writing and conducting performance appraisals, coaching and counseling employees, and administering disciplinary procedures up to, but not including, Written Warnings. - Promote and enforce compliance of safety policies and procedures within department. Identify and report safety issues. Complete appropriate paperwork for work-related accidents or injuries. Participate in accident investigation. - Meet departmental productivity targets and maintain and adjust staffing within area to meet customer requirements. Support and assist production as necessary. Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding scheduling and material issues. - Develop and adhere to the standardized work instructions of respective department(s). Conduct process audits to ensure adherence. - Ensure quality standards are met. Emphasize and focus on continuous improvement in an effort to improve first-run yields. Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding quality issues. - Promote teamwork and a positive work environment. Motivate and direct employees within department(s). Develop team members. - Administer and ensure compliance of company policies. Investigate and document employee-related issues. Counsel employees and issue corrective action up to but not including Written Warnings. - Identify cost savings within department. Participate in cost-reduction programs. - Troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Communicate with appropriate personnel on related matters. Ensure timely preventative maintenance of equipment. - Perform other duties as assigned.

Must have demonstrated leadership abilities. Proficient computer skills. Must have ability to effectively work with people in a team environment and at various levels of the organization. Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Education Required: High school education with two to three years experience in a production, warehousing or distribution capacity, including time spent in a leadership role. Preferred: Bachelors degree and four years experience in manufacturing, including time spent in production leadership.
