This Associate Embedded Software Engineer position in Beavercreek, Ohio supports the Combat Systems and Mission Readiness Division, in the Defense Systems Sector.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Design and build embedded software prototypes to demonstrate new concepts for virtualizing processor hardware on modern platforms.

* Leverage embedded programming skills to run real-time software from aircraft, ships, and other military applications inside a virtual machine.

* Research and develop techniques for automatically generating software from a model

* Work as part of a talented team to solve challenging problems that have real-world impact.

* Proactively interact with customers by presenting project status, technical findings and technical demonstrations.
Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

-Be completing or has completed their Bachelor rsquo;s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.

-Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile).

-Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).

-Ability to work on cross-function Scrum team focused on quality and capability delivery
-Experience with the following programs:

* Linux/Unix programming
* C/C++ programming
* Computer Architecture
* Assembly programming

-Technical writing and oral communication skills

-Ability to work in a collaborative environment as a member of a software development team.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Software Configuration management
* Familiar with Agile process
* Detail-oriented
* Tools: VS Code, git, Rally
* Experience with I/O programming: Ethernet, Serial, MIL-STD-1553, or other
* Familiarity with PowerPC programming or instruction set
* Familiarity with VxWorks
* Familiarity with x86 programming or instruction set
* WindRiver Tornado or Workbench

* Experience with the embedded operating systems such as the Green Hills Software Integrity OS
