Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager 2 to lead our Quality Team located at Rancho Carmel, San Diego, CA.
The Quality Engineering Manager provides the required independent quality oversight for the respective system designs, product builds, testing, integration and support required for the F-35 and Communications Business Units. As a key member of the CNI products team, the Manager will lead a high performing Quality team and will be responsible for executing, monitoring and reporting on the health and quality of products and services. The qualified candidate will have demonstrated success leading teams achieving a high level of employee engagement. The position requires a solution based orientation, unwavering ethics and values, and the demonstrated ability to be a trusted partner. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of solving complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information resulting in effective communication, championing, and implementation of change with a diverse set of internal and external customers and suppliers.
Roles and Responsibilities:

* Assures compliance in quality, risk management, safety, and process improvement in accordance with contractual requirements and drives forward early predictive indicators of risk.
* Leverages comprehensive metrics, customer and employee feedback to assess program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission success.
* Partners with engineering to ensure accurate and comprehensive design changes for current and future production

Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor 39;s Degree and 9+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ years of relevant experience with a Master 39;s Degree).
* 3+ years of experience leading teams and/or projects.
* Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Demonstrated proficiency with building and maintaining customer relationships
* Experience leading a team in a dynamic production/manufacturing environment
* AS9100 proficiency and requirement management/flowdown
* Experience sitting on MRB and ERB change boards, technical reviews
* Current DoD and SAP clearance desired
* Experience working government contracts/subcontracts
