SCHEDULE: Full-time

St Mark's Hospital Labor and Delivery Department has a Patient Admitting Rep position available!

The Labor and Delivery Patient Admitting Representative will be registering patients that come for services related to Labor and Delivery at St Mark's Hospital. This role will provide customer service in a comfortable environment for families and visitors of St Mark's Hospital patients. The position must possess a positive, friendly, caring and professional attitude at all times. This position requires excellent communication skills and public awareness while creating a positive image for the hospital and its services. With proper training and knowledge of other functions within the department. May perform other duties related high quality patient care and a teamwork environment.

This position will also include but not limited to:

* Answer and screen in coming calls and forward as appropriate.
* Assist department in adhering to on time scheduling.

* Maintain an accurate daily patient procedure schedule.

* Maintain an efficient and welcoming presence at the reception desk.

* Meet and greet patients and family members in a professional and courteous manner.
* Monitor and maintain a neat, tidy, and clean area.

* Utilize all core values to create a professional environment.

Qualifications

* One year experience in a Hospital setting preferred
* Previous healthcare/medical experience strongly preferred
* American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 6 months of hire.
