The Registered Nurse will coordinate and deliver high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. The RN will serve as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organizations vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
* You will assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
* You will assess patient environment for any safety risks and/or non-compliance with regulatory standards.
* You will teach patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
* You will manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance the exceptional care provided to patients.
* You will manage the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
* You will manage water treatment and portable RO systems. Completes and documents required testing for Chlorine and Chloramines as scheduled.
* You will demonstrate skill in setup and operation of dialysis equipment in differing settings. You will perform various types of dialysis therapies, including hemodialysis, SLED, CRRT, plasmapheresis, ultrafiltration, and peritoneal dialysis.
* You will perform appropriate patient monitoring pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis treatment. Completes and documents testing of dialysate for Conductivity, pH, and proper temperature.
* You will provide access-related care to initiate dialysis therapy, including cannulation of dialysis fistula/graft and accessing dialysis catheter or peritoneal catheter.

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Prefered
License/Certifications
* Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation: Required
* If hired on a compact license from a different state, must obtain TX RN license within 90 days of hire.
* BLS: Required upon Hire
