Supervisor, Application Development
In this role, you will be responsible for development of database and web applications to support the PAS. You will assure that the Patient Account Services Center obtains the highest quality of Information Systems by creating and/or maintaining databases, programs and web pages for end users.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identify opportunities for greater efficiencies through process improvement, systems integration and guide the implementation of these solutions
* Manage the day-to-day activities of the Application Development group, providing leadership to its staff
* Develop policies & procedures that outline all aspects of application development and maintenance including: life-cycle development strategies, testing and implementation plans, and post-implementation monitoring
* Develop relationships with vendors to ensure proper functionality of existing software technologies
* Develop, administer, maintain and/or implement database designs, data access, associated code, and end user documentation
* Create, review, analyze, modify and/or implement programmed systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs
* Design, construct, implement and/or monitor web pages. This process should include ensuring end user accessibility, and maintaining/providing ongoing design and content modifications
* Develop training programs for all developed systems
* Manage, research and analysis, and adhoc reporting
* Communicate business analysis and reporting requirements to development staff
* Continuously work with vendors to ensure proper functionality of existing software technologies
* Responsible for performance management
* Recommend and maintain any hardware improvements required to support all developed systems
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Communication communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing

* Interpersonal skills able to work effectively with other employees, patients and external parties
* Policies & Procedures demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems
* Technology skills demonstrate familiarity with standard programming concepts, practices and procedures; including applications development in SQL, Visual Basic, Internet Information Server (IIS), database applications and web server implementation
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor degree in Information Systems or related field
* Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement
* Minimum four years technical experience in Information Technology and Services
* Experience with HCA systems preferred
* Minimum one year management experience
