Responsibilities

* The Business Systems Analyst (BSA), BTS IME Packaging is an individual contributor to the planning, development, optimization and deployment of new or existing business solutions and capabilities in pharma and biologics packaging, providing specialized technical and business knowledge to projects.
* This role identifies and recommends business process efficiencies and improvements by formulating and solving packaging and serialization challenges that offer the greatest opportunity and drives data-driven decision making with measurable outcomes.
* This role is responsible to elicit, understand and document packaging project objectives and requirements, gathering information from diverse stakeholders, evaluating output deliverables and formats. Contributing to the design, implementation and adoption of business solutions is a foundational contribution of this role.
* The BSA partners with the business to improve manufacturing operations systems by studying current practices and processes, designing system and process modifications and writing improved procedures with appropriate controls, while aligning to global standards and best practices.
* The BSA collaborates with business and BTS stakeholders to track and measure business value captured and adoption of packaging capabilities across the global manufacturing network. Ability to demonstrate cost savings and return on investment (ROI) for packaging process improvements derived from projects and initiatives is desired (such as reducing change over time, OEE improvement and reducing rework).
* The BSA also acts as a liaison between BTS and various business areas, using appropriate tools to collect, synthesize, and summarize data for implanting solutions that drive business goals. Additionally, this role will assist by working with cross-functional, global teams in large-scale, complex business technology initiatives.
* Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Consults with functional areas to develop understanding of the varied and complex business needs supported by the systems and data. Responsible for determining how changing business needs will affect systems and manufacturing operations. Understands the role of systems and data in the big picture and provides ideas and recommendations regarding the evolution packaging operations.
* Responds to questions and influences the users regarding current and potential system and data inputs, processes, and outputs. Conducts research and analysis into the nature, effect and results of process and system problems. Develops detailed business user requirements, design documentation, work flow, and reports. Negotiates plans, time frames and trade-offs while ensuring stakeholders achieve desired outcomes and goals of the project. Builds great working relationship within and across business areas.
* Ensures current and accurate system and data documentation, coordinates and or performs testing of system modifications, both validated and non-validated systems. Provides systems expertise and supports system training, educational tools and materials. Involved with the Business System Owners, Site BTS Leads, and Site Operations Managers regarding planning/scheduling and resource allocation.
* Complete projects/ tasks within time and budget constraints. Document and mitigate technology deployment project issues and risks. Effectively monitor and control project scope and budget. Escalate when appropriate. Communicate project progress to all appropriate stakeholders proactively.
* Applies analytical and critical thinking skills to diagnose and make recommendations. Incorporates knowledge of business and technology to make recommendations. Translates insights and data from user discussions into business requirements and validation plans.
* Partners with business to analyze processes/needs and makes recommendations that are effective means to satisfy those needs. Analyzes complex work procedures and job methods and presents concepts to simplify those procedures.
* Work is performed and technical decisions are made with a clear partnership with SMEs from the business as well as BTS. As a result, a strong understanding of the business is required.

Qualifications
* Bachelors degree plus 6 or more years technical experience, or Masters degree plus 5 or more years experience or sufficient experience to demonstrate technical equivalency.
* Experience in a Business System Analyst role.
* Systems Testing and IT Implementation experience.
* Project Management experience.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
* Must be able to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members. Must be deliverables focused and detail oriented. Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills. Must have a strong customer focus.
* Experience in Manufacturing Operations or Engineering is preferred.
