What would you do in this role?
As an Echo Cardiac Sonographer, you would perform all established echocardiography procedures. While communicating the nature of the procedure to the patient, you will address any questions or concerns.
* You would recognize sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue, structures and blood flow while adjusting scanning techniques to optimize image quality and spectral waveform.
* Analyze sonographic findings throughout the course of the examination so a comprehensive exam is complete and sufficient data is provided to the physician to render a final diagnosis.
* You will initiate additional scanning techniques or administer contrast agents as indicated by the examination.
* Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals to provide the best medical care possible for all patients.
* You will perform stress echo testing when needed.
Requirements
* Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program. RDS eligible or registered.
* Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
* Minimum of 2 years of cardiac/echo sonographer experience.
* Basic Life Support Certification.
