In this role, you will have supervisory responsibilities, including:

* Completing time & attendance regularly ensuring time off allows for delivery schedule to be met

* Creating a culture focused on qualitative performance that is transparent and measurable, development-based and engagement focused

* Onboarding of new associates including training when required

* Scheduling work assignments to ensure delivery schedule can be met

* Delivering yearly performance evaluations (including performance and development goals)

* Provide leadership and support to hourly team ensure manufacturing performance objectives are achieved

* Own daily management of operational metrics at the cell level



Safety

* Teach and comply with regulations and best practices

* Prioritize safety daily ensuring associates can stay safe while performing daily functions

* Identify and investigate any unsafe situations with focus on implementing robust countermeasures to reduce or eliminate the issues

* Comply with and monitor 5S in the workplace



Quality

* Ensure quality is evident in daily work delivering high quality product that meets all customer and quality specifications

* Ensure the team works according to regulatory guidelines, and coaching as necessary to ensure we deliver on ISO and other regulatory requirements



Delivery

* Compliance with the daily schedule, escalate any deviations to the Value Stream Leader

* Assist in problem solving misses or issues with hitting daily schedule/rate



Inventory

* Working according to the First-In First-Out (FIFO) principle to ensure inventory turnover

* Monitor and comply with documented Work-In Process (WIP) levels

* Oversee cell operations to ensure all inventory is accounted for and following correct processes

* Make inventory transactions to ensure inventory on hand is accurate

Productivity

* Spot waste in the process and escalate it to Value Stream Leader

* Deliver output as determined by the daily schedule

* Participate in problem solving to minimize downtime and improve throughput

* Contributes to the continuous improvement (DBS) culture, including:

* Identifying waste and assisting in developing Kaizen charters

* Participating in and lead kaizen events

* Assisting Value Stream Leaders in the Problem-Solving Process (PSP) to understand gaps in cell performance, investigate causes to understand root cause, and put in robust countermeasures to drive improvements

* Supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives, champion projects which increase the overall effectiveness of the manufacturing operation



Promote a learning environment

* Focused on cross training associates to ensure labor capacities meet required workload

* Emphasize employee involvement and empower team to deliver great results

* Maintain adequate work force to meet demand

* Make recommendations on hiring, terminations, relocations or transfers

* Coordinate training schedules and support advancements

* Provide timely coaching and discipline when required

* Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)

* Basic math, reading and writing skills

* Ability to effectively communicate, understand and follow verbal and written instructions

* Proficient computer skills to access production information as required

* Must have experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

* Minimum of 5 years of work experience in manufacturing is required

* Experience in a cleanroom environment preferred

* Prior supervisory experience is required

* SAP experience (specifically in manufacturing environment) is preferred
