The GI Asst Marketing Manager - Color reports directly to the Global Product Director Liquid and has overall responsibility for the development and execution of a GI Color Strategy. The GI Asst Marketing Manager will need to completely understand the complexity of our color systems / tools for all GI segments, including being a point of contact for GI Aurora training and customer implementation/troubleshooting. This role will sit on the PCG Color/Mosiac council to lobby for GI project prioritization, plus set the priority for color matches/color tool development for the PCG Color team. In addition, this role will be responsible for loading new color matches/usages into the Aurora system.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

1. Establishment and execution of a GI Color Strategy
* Work with the Segment Directors to develop a long-term color strategy for GI.
2. Execution of color projects
* Work with the Segment Leads to scope specific color project needs
* Lead the execution of the identified projects
* Assist where possible with the implementation of GIS in EMEAI
3. Color System Expert develop an expert understanding of the Sherwin Williams color systems
* Develop a working understanding of Mosaic, Aurora, FE 2.0 and how it all fits together
* Understand the color tools utilized by the other PCG division and GI can use them
* Sit on the Mosaic Color Council
* Develop a working understanding of the color systems around the world
* Assist in the execution of the global implementation of Aurora
4. Aurora Champion
* Gain expert knowledge of the Aurora color matching software, understanding gaps to bring up in the Mosiac Color Council
* Load color matched standards into the system for utilization in our facilities and at our customers
* Be a GI customer contact for Aurora training and troubleshooting
* Be the primary marketing contact for the LSR program, fielding requests from the facilities to expand the platform recipe capabilities in Aurora.
5. Assist the Product Management team in the execution of cost savings, raw material risk and consolidation projects.
6. Lead/build the General Industrial color standards management process globally.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

* * * Bachelors Degree Science / Marketing or equivalent major

Preferred:

* * * Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

* 5 years of experience in sales or marketing
* Strong computer skills

Preferred:

* * * Familiarity with color matching tools and software
* Familiarity with industrial coatings
