SUMMARY
Hulus Consumer and Marketing Insights team is seeking a Content Insights Manager who will be an outstanding addition to our growing team. As a member of the team, you will support consumer research initiatives at Hulu, including gathering data, developing analyses, crafting impactful insights to deliver against key objectives in Content and Marketing. This role focuses on all things content from general insights and pivotal initiatives to working with individual titles throughout their lifecycles. The right person for this role is an analytical problem solver with a strong attention to detail and natural curiosity who can prioritize multiple projects and requests at once. WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Work closely with team and key partners in Content and Marketing to define and execute research to guide key decisions
* Analyze behavioral and/or third-party data to provide insights supporting business decisions and tracking content performance
* Manage primary research studies end-to-end; be comfortable with questionnaire development, survey programming, data collection, quality control checks, analyzing raw data, report and insights generation and presenting results
* Conceive and implement new ways to connect and visualize primary data, business data and/or syndicated information to support content initiatives
* Assist in development and reporting of content KPIs
* Field ad-hoc requests from key stakeholders in a timely fashion
* Collaborate on projects with other members of the Hulu research team to address business initiatives
* Stay abreast of television, OTT and research industry news, trends and methodologies
* Partner with other data reporting teams outside of Consumer and Marketing Insights, when applicable
WHAT TO BRING
* 5+ years of relevant research experience working with survey-based data, business data and syndicated data, preferably at a market research supplier specializing in Entertainment, a network or studio
* Experience with market positioning, viewership studies, development studies, concept tests, pilot tests, and title tests
* Expertise in integrating primary and secondary research with business data to uncover compelling insights and deliver impactful recommendations
* Knowledge of a variety of market research methodologies and their applications in order to craft research projects to meet the needs of business questions and resolve which approach serves them best
* Knowledge of Nielsen-based systems (NPower, Scarborough, NNTV) and viewing statistics
* Experience presenting/socializing insights at all levels of the organization, especially to non-researchers
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to tell a story using data
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to apply to both research execution and business questions
* Strong attention to detail, particularly when it comes to data quality and reporting

* Passionate about research, television, and entertainment content
* BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Social/Behavioral Sciences or related field, with strong academic record
NICE-TO-HAVES
* Experience with SPSS or other analytical tools
* Experience with syndicated research tools such as MRI and comScore
