Job Summary:

The DMED Communications Operations team is seeking an experienced Communications Operations Manager who will work collaboratively with the team to enable DMEDs internal and media communications efforts.

This individual will support the technology, platforms and processes that enable other members of the communications team to engage in a broad range of communications activities.

The ideal candidate will be both a technologist and communicator at heart and is able to move efficiently between organizing & developing technology, tools, platforms & products and day-to-day operation of existing technology/platforms.

A primary responsibility will be managing technology platforms for internal communications and publicity, including a press-facing video content screening site; a press and public-facing website with information about DMED, Disney+, ESPN+; a network of intranets; and other tools. The ideal candidate will be a solution partner and collaborator with the DMED Communications team and other stakeholders across the company particularly in Technology, Product and Design teams.

This role operates in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is paramount.

This position is ideally based in Burbank and will report into the Director of Communications Operations. Must be available to work some nights, some weekends and able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities:

* Daily operation, coordination and maintenance of our digital screening application, including ongoing publicity use cases and other types of screenings, both internal and external working closely with the Director of Communications Operations, the DMED publicity team, and Studios publicity teams. Day-to-day operations also require preliminary security investigations; editing metadata; adding key art; tracking asset deliveries; adding, removing, and organizing users on the platform; and completing ticket-based requests for all of the above.
* Daily operation, maintenance, and content publishing for the press and public-facing media site, working closely with the Director of Communications Operations and other DMED communications leaders.
* Manage development & maintenance of DMED's intranet and other employee communication tools.
* Assist with video or photo shoots, events, livestreams, and other projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum 3-5 years experience in communications or technology-related fields ideally both
* BA or BS required, preferably with a background in technology or product-related fields
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate product projects from start to finish and ongoing operation, especially related to online video
* Ample knowledge of Internet-related technologies & software, including content management systems
* Knowledge of content security protocols, enough knowledge to conduct preliminary investigations when security alerts are triggered, as well as other IT security standards
* Proven track record of working with highly sensitive content and confidential information
* Demonstrated project coordination skills
* Ability to identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and design and implement processes to address them
* Proficient in Office 365 & task management software (ie. Trello)
* Highly collaborative, ideally with experience in a large matrixed organizational structure
* Experience working directly with product and technology teams preferred
* Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with maturity and confidence in working with colleagues at all levels, including executives
* Organized, detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
* Flexible, responsive and a multi-tasking team player who is willing to pitch in to help the team meet critical deadlines
* Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders, prioritize deadlines and effectively work through challenges in a fast-paced environment
* Positive attitude, personable and approachable, self-motivated
* Self-starter with ability to work independently but confident enough to ask for guidance and input when needed
* Ability to think pro-actively and strategically to help team design solutions for various projects and challenges
* Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with managing WordPress & other custom software development
* Experience working on a global team
* Experience working with metrics/analytics
* Experience with HTML/CSS for email campaigns
