Responsible for developing the business strategy for large-scale advisor technology initiatives for the Financial Advisor Services (FAS) business. Work with senior leaders to develop business strategy and own responsibility for the overall execution of the plans to address both tactical and strategic objectives; partner with Enterprise Advice to implement FAS Advice technology strategy; implement large-scale, advisor technology initiatives across the FAS business, including assessments of new markets, features, and distribution channels; own responsibility for the overall execution of plans to address both tactical and strategic objectives; apply knowledge of current industry best practices as well as industry and competitive trends in technology, methodology, and user experience; represent FAS on corporate advice strategy initiatives; manage staff; provides guidance, training and motivation as necessary to develop staff; hire, evaluate, and counsel personnel; follow corporate disciplinary procedures per established company standards as required; set performance standards, review performance, provide feedback, recommend wage increases in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures; act as senior liaison and relationship manager for FAS channels and other internal company departments, including Enterprise Advice; provide written and verbal communication to various organizations and audiences within the company on the status of projects as well as the current business environment; present strategic advice updates to the leadership teams of various business partners across divisions; consult regularly with senior business leaders on advancing initiatives; partner with Marketing to establish and implement the optimal marketing strategy and overarching positioning for advice offer, across solutions; manage effective relationships with internal departments and business partners; influence and provide guidance, training, and motivation as necessary to align the cross-functional team to the strategic objectives. Approximately 10% of travel required for conferences and to meet with potential partners; no telecommuting benefit, no alternate work or residence location available.
Requirements:
Requires Masters in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field and five years of experience in job offered or five years of experience as Associate Director, Principal, Project Leader, Management Consultant, and/or Consultant. Background in education, training or experience must include demonstrated business strategy and technology acumen, experience leading a team of specialists, and demonstrated strength interfacing with external clients and internal partners; exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills; strong and demonstrated persuasion skills; proven track record of delivering business results in complex environments; ability to make decisions and execute amidst fluid and uncertain environments; ability to communicate technical and non-technical information to various levels of audiences internally and externally; proven and demonstrable strategic thinking capabilities; ability to manage multiple competing priorities; strong understanding of technology including programming languages (Java, J2EE), development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile development) and platform expertise (Cloud strategy and technologies); ability to develop technology related business cases, select development partners, negotiate contracts, and support implementation.
