Who are we looking for?
Our groups core competency is data science. However, were looking for people with additional talent and experience in 3 key spheres:
Healthcare data wizards. These magical folks help translate clinical hypotheses into data and interventions. Were for data scientists with deep experience working with claims/healthcare data particularly those that have an understanding of its implications, and its scientific and/or clinical value.
Client-service orientated chimeras. You must wear a lot of hats to make a product work. You excel in translating business and stakeholder needs into data science direction, and vice versa. You have great interpersonal skills and an ability to reduce, and then present, complex business/data science concepts into digestible components. You care deeply about credible measurement and experimental design, and you are old hat at developing business cases and presenting to executive leadership.
Research and Development data scientists. You have deep experience architecting and evaluating cutting edge mechanistic and empirical models. They need to have deep experience coding and developing pipelines, in coordination with our other spheres and our data engineering colleagues.
Fundamental components:
Develops and/or uses algorithms and statistical predictive models and determines analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes.
Performs analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses and broad knowledge of the organization and/or industry. -Collaborates with business partners to understand their problems and goals, develop predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics. Develops and participates in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions.
Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization.
Uses strong knowledge in algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns, and recommend solutions. Use strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms.
Required Qualifications
2+ year of relevant technical and analytic experience in a healthcare sector
2+ year machine learning experience
Experience in SAS or SQL or other programming languages.
2+ year experience programming using R, Hadoop, or Python
Must have experience running codes and models
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare sector experience preferred
Relevant experience to the position, such as post-doctoral roles, a proven track record of publications and developed models/software
MD and/or PhD in a technical field or equivalent practical experience (e.g. PhD in machine learning, computer science, or statistics and modeling heavy engineering field (chemistry and bio-engineering)
