This position is responsible for leadership in the Mailing Services Department. Candidates require working knowledge of United States Postal Services mailing regulations, proper use of all required USPS forms, the ability to secure appropriate trucking services for shipments, and developing a good working relationship with the local USPS representatives that come on site to verify loads. This individual should have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and will have much exposure with our customers.

* Uploads Mail.Dat files to USPS PostalOne! System using USPS MDR Batch Processor
* Prepares USPS forms including USPS Mail Summary report, Postage Statement Form 3602, and Form PS8125.
* Works closely with Accounting to acquire postal checks.
* Works closely with Sales, CSRs, and Scheduling to have knowledge of customer release and delivery dates of direct mail pieces.
* Responsible for reporting any problems related to meeting customer release date to Production Manager.
* Responsible for proper sortation of mailing pieces.
* Responsible for the storage and retrieval of all mail pieces within the plant.
* Maintains USPS Job File Records per RRD and USPS Recordkeeping Policies
* Updates WindowBook, USPS Destination Files, and USPS MDR Client as necessary
* Acquires USPS Postal Permits for customers as necessary
* Orders USPS First Class Mail Trucks as necessary
* Provides RRD Logistics with load plans
* Reviews job bluelines for USPS Spec compliance per USPS DMM regulations
* Acquires Co-Pal and Freight estimates from RRD Logistics as necessary
* Reports monthly Mail Quantities to Corporate
* Coordinates USPS Postage Transfers between permits as necessary
* Provides CSR's / sales with USPS Container Tracking Reports as necessary
* Works with USPS to acquire Plant Load, Co-Pal, and Optional Procedure Authorizations as necessary
* Ensuring proper staffing needs and requests temporary staffing if required to meet deadlines.
* Maintains a safe and clean work environment for all employees in department.
* Addresses employee issues and concerns in department and consults with HR Manager and Production Manager when appropriate.

The successful candidate will have 1 to 3 years of prior work experience involved with USPS postal regulations, forms, and procedures. They will be required to stay aware of any changes to postal regulations that occur in a timely manner. They must be capable of effectively communicating internally with production staff, management staff, sales staff, and externally with vendors including USPS employees and customers to promote a positive working relationship with our facility. The candidate will provide guidance over a 3-shift operation.
