This is a new role within the company designed to provide full administrative support to our recently promoted SVP & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and their staff. The successful candidate will be highly organized, nimble, and proactive in supporting all HR programs and projects including scheduling and coordination of C-Suite calendars and planning key events, preparing presentations, agendas and summary notes from executive meetings with a high degree of attention to detail.
The CHRO leads a high functioning Human Resources organization of approximately 80 members supporting Navient and subsidiary companies across 15+ locations.
The Human Resources team is currently working remotely which has the potential of changing to working in the office at a future undetermined date. At that point this position will be onsite in Wilmington, Delaware.
Essential Job Duties:
Administrative Support
* Responsible for heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants, as well as vendors, clients, and consultants.
* Serve as liaison among SVP and other high-level executives
* Provide long-term planning support and scheduling activities for key company meetings
* Assist in preparation of Power Point presentations and other documents for internal and external use
* Plan and execute team events, meetings, off-sites, and other special functions
Project Coordination/Management
* Ability to balance multiple priorities and project manage company-wide initiatives that require coordination of multiple stakeholders and locations
* Organize project plans, schedule and coordinate meetings for projects; provide updates as tasks are completed and effectively communicate such to all impacted parties.
* Complete required deliverables for projects, including research and document preparation
Communication
* Draft and manage correspondence and communications on behalf of the SVP
* Field and triage inquiries and independently follow up with requests as required
Division Budget and Expense Reports
* Review and process expense reports for SVP
* Process and track invoices; create and monitor purchase orders
* Work with the finance department and HR Leadership team to provide ongoing budget development and tracking support.
REQUIREMENTS;
The successful candidate will have 5 years of executive level administrative support, preferably in a large complex organization. They will have very strong written communications skills and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word, Power Point, as well as Microsoft Teams and other progressive communications applications. Demonstrated expertise in project management and a keen ability to engage and influence leaders and build coalitions and alliances across the company is critical.
