Responsibilities Include:

* Develop expertise with the specific constraints and requirements associated with all engineering platforms used at Micron. The SIG PCB Designer at Micron will be the subject matter expert on all engineering tester systems as they relate to PCB design.
* Maintain effective working relationships with internal customers, Characterization Engineers and Product Engineers in the development of specialized PCBs to ensure the specific needs of each project are met.
* Complete project management and coordination of each design phase including, requirement definitions, component placement, schematic, layout, fabrication, BOM generation, design reviews, assembly, and testing as well as maintenance of project checklists and records.
* Solve electrical and mechanical design issues making sure each complete PCB design package will correctly interface with all existing mechanical and thermal assemblies.
* Analyze the final product and process to ensure high-quality designs are delivered on time every time.
* Facilitate standardization by being aware of the bigger picture, including design features which will drive standardization and improve efficiency throughout the department.
* Design and implement tools and processes which will improve efficiency.
* Communicate and coordinate with external vendors as necessary for the completion of previously mentioned items.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position will have:

* Minimum two years of PCB design experience using Cadence tools. Altium and Mentor experience helpful.
* Strong command of high-speed signal integrity design rules.
* Solid understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and limitations.
* Good understanding of Power Distribution Network design.
* Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand engineering needs and apply that understanding to deliver products that meet customer needs.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
* High degree of self-initiative and ability to think and act independently.

Education: New College Graduate Role

Bachelors degree with up to two years experience
