Purpose :
Serve as Lean subject matter expert, train employees, and lead Kaizen events to continuously improve Production Operations. Responsibilities that include data analysis and identification of process improvement. The role will span all operations on site and will give the successful candidate a very good understanding of all aspects of the operation Projects will incorporate lean manufacturing, theory of constraints, quick response manufacturing, Just-In-Time, Methods-Time Measurement, or a variety of other systems improvement philosophies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitate Lean training programs for team members.
* Prepare materials to deepen the understanding of lean manufacturing.
* Coach and mentor team members with applying what was learned to improve work place safety and operational performance.
* (basically facility Lean methodology and engage with other members to help expand the groups knowledge on Lean Manufacturing)
* Work to Improve operational performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost with the Production team
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities across the Value Stream. Work with cross functional departments and teams to identify and remove waste.
* Develop/update processes, and train team members to sustain improvements made for processes that deliver value to operations.
* Track performance measures that capture continuous improvement performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
* Assisting in the analyzing, designing, and implementation of manufacturing and business process improvement, resulting in increase capacity, reduce lead-time, reduction in the work-in-process, improve fill-rates, and improve process flow and efficiency.
* Assisting in the design, implementation and maintenance of effective metrics with internal customers or suppliers to ensure unbridled supply is achieved.
* Participates in multiple facets groups across the organization including manufacturing, design, supplier development, and documentation.
* Create strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure project success.
* Makes recommendations to design teams, which drive higher yielding, lower cost, more manufacturable products.

In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

Contacts: Contacts are primarily within immediate work unit. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information requiring little explanation or interpretation.
