Position Summary
At PCC Mentor we pride ourselves on Operations Excellence. With an intense focus on owning and driving our key metrics, the Production Supervisor ensures we meet our delivery commitments to our customer by providing best in class leadership to their team members and planning and executing our daily production schedule.
In this role you will be an owner of your departments cost and throughput, solve complex and technical problems, and develop your team members to execute our ever increasing goals. Our ideal candidate will have a track record of not accepting how weve always done things, and a history of strong business metric performance.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide leadership to 20 30 team members by ensuring they have the right tools, resources, skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
* Champion a culture of Safety and continuous improvement.
* Assist the Section Manager in planning and executing the production schedule by setting priorities, managing an optimal part flow, setting team member work schedules, managing production cost, and meeting throughput demands.
* Partner with the Maintenance team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment in your area.
* Ensures quality training of team members to operating and engineering procedures.
* Communicate with senior plant leaders to the performance of your team.
* Actively manage the performance of your team members to ensure the highest level of quality and throughput.
Experience & Education
* Minimum of three years of experience leading people in a manufacturing team environment required.
* Experience in hiring and developing new team members in a production environment.
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, or related disciplines preferred, but may be substituted for work experience.
