Grandview Pharmacy is looking for a full-time third shift pharmacy delivery technician to work as a part of the daily dispensing team. Applicants must be eager to learn; have ambition and drive; find satisfaction out of a job well done; have good communication skills; be energetic and willing to go above and beyond expectations. Applicants will be required to assist in the dispensing process of daily medication orders, over the counter orders, 30-day supply orders, unit-dose and multi-dose packaging, non-sterile compounding, and emergency drug kit preparation. Further this position will allow you to get out of the building occasionally to make unscheduled deliveries to facilities to ensure residents received their needed medications.

As a Pharmacy Delivery Technician at Grandview Pharmacy, you will:
- Work in an environment where the highest professional and ethical standards are maintained as well as full compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.
- Work in a fast-paced environment which demonstrates compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers
- Take important steps to ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for our patients with all colleagues demonstrating ethical conduct and maintaining continual patient confidentiality.
- Work within assigned pharmacy workstations, to fill patient prescriptions, safely and accurately, all while providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations.
- Work with pharmacy colleagues to ensure each delivery leaves the pharmacy at the appropriate time to ensure the medication is delivered to designated location in a timely manner.
- Transport and deliver medication, items, and equipment to patients in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss
- Maintain delivery log of activities per policy and procedure, which include checking and/or logging recipient identification
- Report status and any problems to pharmacy management
- Maintain company cars by cleaning inside and out, fueling, and reporting any mechanical issues immediately to management
- Maintain Medication and Treatment Carts by cleaning and performing minor repairs
- Limited delivery personnel may be instructed on major repairs to the medication and treatment carts
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work under limited supervision
- Navigate their routes using basic internet map programs such as Google Maps or Map Quest

This is a full-time 3rd shift position (5 shifts per week) with rotating weekends, starting around 11:00pm to 7:30am with exceptions based on the needs of the pharmacy operation and resident health and safety.

Required Qualifications
- Indiana State Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician-in-Training License
- No prior experience is required. Will complete intensive on-the-job training.
- Ability to perform mathematical skills.
- Ability to alphabetize medication stock bottles and finish prescriptions for delivery.
- Ability to acquire basic knowledge of medications as it relates to the role of a pharmacy technician.
- Must be able to follow directions and reproduce a final product with a minimum level of speed and accuracy.
- Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours.
- Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds
- Successfully complete a background check and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications
Prior long-term health care experience a plus

Education
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required
