Director, Sourcing Excellence

The Director of Sourcing Excellence will be a member of News Corps Global Sourcing leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Procurement Officer. This individual will recruit and develop a global team that manages the core processes and systems required to enable a world class sourcing organization. Working closely with the CPO, this individual will provide thought leadership and vision to create News Corp's Source to Contract future state. They will leverage fit-for-purpose digital solutions and processes to drive best in class strategic category management, contract lifecycle management, and compliance.

Location: USA (New York, NY)

Job Responsibilities:

* Recruit and manage a global team of highly trained multi-disciple procurement professionals responsible for the process of defining, implementing, and controlling the standard and automated sourcing processes and tools
* Work with category leadership to develop a suite of digital tools that will enable best in class category and contract lifecycle management.

* Manage monthly, bi-weekly, and weekly delivery of procurement key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost savings and working capital impact.

* Working closely with finance partners to ensure all KPIs are verified and traceable to business results.

* Working category leaders and strategic sourcing business partners to ensure a robust pipeline of cost savings projects leveraging value engineering, high growth region, single/sole source elimination, and be responsible for driving the use of eSourcing tools

* Work closely with Corporate Compliance to ensure strict adherence to News Corps Third Party eligibility requirements

* Be accountable for analyzing supply market trends, competitive data, technology, and regulatory developments across all categories that can impact pricing and availability.

Required & Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in engineering, business, finance or related field. Advanced Technical Degree or MBA is preferred.
* Minimum 15 years of sourcing/procurement work experience

* At least 5+ years of strategic sourcing & procurement transformation experience

* Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills

* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal forums across all levels, including with News Corp senior leadership.

* Experience in strategic consulting or corporate/business development a plus

* Experience with contemporary procurement tools and technologies
