Description:
The Production Operations team is seeking a highly self-motivated, analytical Industrial Engineering professional that will lead Industrial Engineering efforts across the Manassas production operations enterprise. The activities will include;
Oversee the Operations Excellence Teams (OET) for the Manassas site.
Develop and design data analytics to drive cost effective manufacturing process and enhance production performance.
Drive affordability and cost reduction through digital transformation and utilizing tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, FLEXSIM simulation tool, OneNote, ERP/SAP, Tableau or other scheduling and data analysis tools.
Develop and monitor changes to production workflow, manpower changes, or changes to the schedule.
Assist teams in the implementation of changes in manufacturing, engineering and service operations to improve key performance indicators.
Interface with executive leadership, program management, technical SME lead, customer, and functional leadership to drive tasks to completion.
Responsible for weekly maintenance of project timelines which includes updates, analysis, and the ability to simulate various scheduling scenarios; re-adjust schedules as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with Industrial Engineering-related experience.
A full spectrum leader with demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of executives and first-line management, industry peers, and internal and external customers. Proven Leadership and Management of Aerospace and Manufacturing products.
Experience leading Operational Excellence Teams or Performance Management Team type processes and metrics.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience, specifically in creating, monitoring and reporting metrics related to cost, schedule and quality.
Experience developing resource loading plans, manpower scheduling or critical path methodology.
Desired Skills:
Interest automation and robotics.
High rate production experience.
Ability to work closely with engineering, manufacturing operators, test, quality assurance, and other operations support teams.
Experience with Statistical Analysis.
Experience with Simulation software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques including Flow implementation.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Documentation and organization skills.
