Quality Engineer
The Quality Engineer champions testing and quality of delivery within a small team of software engineers who work on different parts of our tech stack. The Quality Engineer is responsible for writing automated tests, creating test plans, and assisting other engineers in implementing best practices to maintain high quality code.
The Quality Engineer reports to the Software Engineering Manager
Responsibilities
* Create and maintain automated test suites for their team
* Identify, classify, and document bugs in production and pre-production code
* Collaborate with other Quality Engineers across team boundaries to share best practices and form org-wide testing standards
* Work with software engineers early in the development process to identify edge cases for testing
* Perform integration and E2E tests to ensure cross-team dependencies remain healthy
* Create testing plans for major feature releases
* Work with our DevOps team to ensure coverage reports and quality gates are built into our pipelines
Skills and Qualifications
* 1-3+ years delivering high-scale, high-performance web applications
* A background in platforms running with a leading cloud provider, preferably Azure
* Experience with container-driven development environments
* Writing automated integration tests in a language agnostic tool such as Postman, Selenium, or Cypress
* Writing automated performance tests in a language agnostic tool such as Gatling, JMeter, or K6
* Working with some of our core technologies such as React and Kotlin
* Experience working with both relational and non-relational data structures
