About the team:

The role of the Business Optimization Team is oversight and support for product deployment within the Americas Payments & Wealth division. This team will collaborate with the Product Teams for new product rollouts. Business Optimization will partner with the product teams and provide oversight with the goal to ensure the necessary systems, supplier teams, and processes are in place prior to product rollout.u00A0Additionally, this team partners with Product Adoption to drive Mass Enablement campaigns.

Job Description:

u2022 Performs analyses of the business goals, objectives and needs of the general business environment for appropriate FIS segment, division, group or line of business.
u2022 Performs research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to manager or project leader.
u2022 Plans and designs business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business systems and activities and/or to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
u2022 Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.
u2022 Identifies and implements best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.
u2022 Calculates/estimates costs and benefits of alternative actions or solutions to establish their viability/return on investment.
u2022 Develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.
u2022 Analyzes and documents business processes and metrics and identifies improvement opportunities.
u2022 May train internal employees on changes to business practices, processes or procedures.
u2022 May perform special projects upon request and on occasion.
u2022 May provide coaching and/or guidance to less experienced Business Analysts.
u2022 Other related duties assigned as needed.

Education Requirements:

Bacheloru2019s degree in business administration, finance, computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

u2022 Knowledge of FISu2019 products and services
u2022 Knowledge of the business goals, objectives and business operations for the appropriate FIS organization
u2022 Knowledge of financial services industry
u2022 Knowledge of basic financial analysis principles and ratios
u2022 Proficiency in standard office software, such as MS Office, Visio, MS Access, etc.
u2022 Proficiency in industry-standard process methodologies, e.g., Six Sigma, LEAN, ISO, CMM, etc.
u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills to audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
u2022 Willingly shares relevant knowledge and expertise to other resources
u2022 Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, customer service, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
u2022 Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
u2022 Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
u2022 Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
