The Senior Advisor of Regulatory Data Strategy will lead transformative efforts to build new data processes, streamline data production and review, and partner with a diverse set of technical stakeholders from across the enterprise to advance SCEs wildfire-related data management capabilities all in the name of advancing wildfire mitigation and risk reduction. This position is perfect for a technical professional who is a natural self-starter, an innovator, and an effective coalition builder.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

* Lead the development and execution of SCEs quarterly and annual data and GIS reporting to the Wildfire Safety Division (WSD) of the CPUC as part of SCEs Wildfire Mitigation Plan
* Lead the successful completion of ad-hoc data requests from regulators and external stakeholders
* Facilitate cross-functional meetings with stakeholders from T&Ds GIS team, Master Data team, 15+ grid resiliency and inspection teams, and regulatory team
* Clearly articulate new data and reporting requirements as defined by SCEs regulatory entities and collaborate across the organization to ensure alignment on approach to satisfy them
* Lead and participate in complex strategy discussions with leaders and think creatively on course of action

Qualifications
The essentials

* Ten (10) or more years of experience performing analysis, managing projects, managing large data sets, aggregating data from across various systems, and/or producing consolidated data reports
* Experience with data systems and Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
* Ability to critically evaluate data provided from multiple stakeholders and spot abnormalities
* Strong project management experience with responsibilities for results in terms of costs, methods, and outcomes

The preferred

* Bachelors degree or higher in business, engineering, computer science, or other technical fields
* Must have a passion for people, technology, process improvement, and everything data
* Extensive experience managing GIS-related projects and building new, large scale capabilities across multiple operating units
* Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI, PowerBI Pro, Alteryx software, or similar tools
* Knowledge and experience in utility regulation and California energy policy
* Knowledge of SCEs Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) and other grid resiliency initiatives
* Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with business partners, cross-functional project teams, peers, all levels of management, and vendors
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
