Job Description
Biomedical Engineering Consultant
Key Role:
Work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment to assist with the technical program management of research and development efforts. Draw on deep technical knowledge and subject matter expertise to advise clients in multiple areas, including Biomedical Engineering, Infectious Disease, Machine Learning, Biology, Computer Vision and Imaging, Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Synthetic Biology, with a particular emphasis in Machine Learning or Medical Device development. Provide strategic assessments of novel scientific discoveries and emerging technologies for a larger client portfolio.
Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with research in Biomedical Engineering, Infectious Disease, Biology, Microbiology, or Genetics
-5+ years of experience with Computer Vision, Imaging, or Machine Learning
-5+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for both technical and non-technical audiences
-Ability to display multiple first-author contributions to peer-reviewed papers or patents
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-PhD degree
Additional Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience with postdoctoral academic or industrial research
-Experience with autonomous instrumentation or systems engineering
-Experience with science and technology policy
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including scientific writing skills
-Active Secret clearance
-PhD degree in Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or CS preferred; MD degree a plus
