Submarine Systems Engineer
Key Role:
Leverage expertise in engineering for various disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, electronic, power, and maritime to support Navy submarine programs. Provide technical and engineering support to assist clients with executing the long-term vision and success of the program. Coordinate with stakeholders across the program office and with outside activities. Participate in and facilitate timely engineering decisions in the review and adjudication of design products and written correspondence by the appropriate Navy technical stakeholders in accordance with ship specifications to meet commitment completion dates. Generate letters and packages for official release and attend meetings with and on behalf of the Navy client. This position will require travel to CONUS locations up to 10% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with applying engineering concepts and processes to submarine or ship design, maintenance, or life cycle support
-Ability to communicate ideas across and outside of the program office
-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-Knowledge of the Navy correspondence manual
-Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
-BS degree in Engineering or Physical Science preferred; MA or MS degree a plus
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
