Description
* Identify, develop relationships with and maintain database of market-specific community partnerships (schools, etc.) to support hiring managers local recruitment efforts.
* Develop and implement proactive and creative hourly recruitment and sourcing solutions.
* Coordinate hiring events (such as job fairs) in partnership with local management. Some national travel may be required.
* Monitor hiring dashboard and provide support as needed.
* Conduct applicant screening and first-level phone interviews with applicants for job openings in all Amtrak locations nation-wide, to support high-volume openings.
* Troubleshoot and resolve applicant hire process flow issues, as the direct conduit to myStaffing corporate resources.
* Analyze hiring metrics and report on hiring efforts on monthly calls with client.
* Support organizational efforts to meet diversity, veteran and people with disabilities hiring goals.
* Support and help manage temp agency resources (as needed).
* Train Hiring Managers on applicant tracking system and process, and support as required.
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in HR or related field strongly preferred
* Knowledge of HR concepts and terminology
* 2-3 years experience in hourly recruitment
* Effective verbal communication skills, especially over the phone
* Demonstrates a positive, collaborative and engaging attitude at all times
* Strong ability to grasp information quickly and probe effectively when required
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize requests and duties
* Ability to work independently, without direct supervision
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong computer/technical skills; previous HRIS/applicant tracking experience strongly preferred
