Description

As a Senior Controller, you will responsible for leading the account and supporting others within the region to ensure financial compliance. The Senior Controller will work directly with the District Manager, and the Regional Financial Director to enforce procedures that maximize profit by ensuring operational targets, internal control of inventories, cash, and equipment.

* Requires demonstrated strong management and leadership skills
* Good planning and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
* The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and lead presentations
* Coach and mentor other controllers/assistant controllers and/or high potential accounting staff
* Highly collaborative with District Manager, Directors, and Managers and communicate key levers to improve margins
* Financial planning and analysis: create annual forecast/budget by venue, create weekly/monthly/annual financial reports
* Drives Cash Flow, Cash and Banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable; Accountable for Fixed Assets and Capital Expenditures
* Weekly/Monthly reporting including analyzing and communicating to the corporation and operators, including targets with SMART actions
* Audits/Contract Compliance including Cash, Accounts Payable, SOX and working with internal corporate auditors
* Meal Plans: oversees deferred income account(s) reconciliation, shares accountability of annual meal plan structure/rate increase, maintain patron management system balances as applicable
* Maintain all financial records and reports in adherence with Aramarks Business Conduct Policy and all local, state, and federal regulations and codes
* Train and develop finance and operations teams on financial acumen and policies
* Client Communication including systems, reporting, and changes to the program
* Assist in operational support as needed with direction from District Manager/Regional Finance Director
* Assist with non-controller accounts within the region to ensure financial compliance/accuracy and represent regional finance as needed
* Support with retention and new business strategy, develop proformas, and presentations as needed within the region
* Performs regional and account related duties as directed by the Regional Finance Director



Qualifications

* Ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting/ MBA preferred
* Minimum 5+ years of progressive financial experience required, including AP/AR, payroll, and P&L management
* Budgeting, forecasting, financial cost control planning & analysis and monthly reporting experience is a must
* Demonstrate ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work under strict deadlines are essential
* Must be organized, demonstrate initiative and have ability to diagnose current state and achieve process improvement
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required.
