* Responsible for proactive support and maintenance around POS systems.
* Provides technical support of the application, interfaces and any customizations.
* Monitors support issues, ensures resolution plans and reports progress to management.
* Provides excellent customer service during event support.
* Proactively maintains systems and executes preventative maintenance plans. Monitors system status and reacts to issues as they arise.
* Work with users to define and evaluate business needs, challenges and inefficiencies that may be resolved through automated solutions.
* Analyze, review and alter systems, programs, and applications to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new requirements.
* Responsible for communicating any defects to vendors and application owners and for coordinating testing and implementation of fixes.
* Develops and executes test and quality assurance strategies and plans.
* Works closely with ASPs to ensure service levels are being met and risk to the business is minimal.
* Ensures that proper version control is strictly adhered to and that operational risk is minimized accordingly.
* Communicates with site users regarding any system enhancements and or scheduled upgrades.
* Participate in technical and functional training classes as necessary or required
* Installs, tests and tunes software and hardware related to database management systems. Schedules and performs upgrades to databases.
* Maintains knowledge around TCP/IP protocol and computer networks.
* Able to navigate and manage Windows Server environments.
Overall Scope:
* Serves as the sole IT support for Aramark at NorthShore University HealthSystem, which accounts for annual revenues of $86,000,000.
* IT Specialist supports approximately 900 employees across 4 hospitals in the following lines of service:
* Food (Patient Services, Retail and Production);
* Environmental Services;
* Central Transportation and Dispatch;
* Linen Distribution;
* Facilities Management;
* Maintenance, Plant Operation, and Grounds;
* Energy Management;
* Centralized Call Center; and
* Healthcare Technology.
* IT Specialist directly communicates with the client to support them and ensure Aramark systems properly interface with client infrastructure.
Principal Job Duties:
* T. project management Aramark corporate standardization and compliance
* IT Specialist has done this for all systems that are used locally including: Facility Fit Pro (Formerly ISISPRO), CBORD, Fusion, Meeting Room Manager, Micros, Site Master, SharePoint, IC Business Manager
* Support Facilities Fit Pro,
* Tray Monitor/CBORD Upgrade: IT Specialist consulted with the users on requirements for the new system and went to another Aramark site to consult existing users there and benchmark
* Square Mobile/ Mashgin/Freedom Pay: IT Specialist to implement, install and protect credit card users data from theft or fraud (PCI compliance.)
* Server and Database administration Systems analysis required
* Patching and maintenance of Aramark servers & databases
* Security monitoring and upgrades
* System administration and change control for the following systems:
* SharePoint (IT Specialist was tasked with implementing an electronic requisition process for approval of open positions, so he selected the software, created the application, tested it, created documentation, and trained the users.)
* Facility Fit Pro FMS and EVS administrator
* CBORD Patient diet and meal tracking program
* Meeting Room Manager (including system changes per user specifications, reorganizing room arrangement and testing the changes)
* Site Master system for processing key requests
* IC Business Manager Call center
* Fusion local database
* Kronos payroll system
* Micros POS system
* Procedure/documentation creation and training
* IT Specialist creates documentation for all system changes to ensure continuity of operations and create training documents for users
* Client support
* Data gathering: the client transferred the Interpretive Services function back to the client, and IT Specialist was required to provide metrics for the migration
* IT Specialist participates in a weekly client IT change meeting to discuss updates including the changeover for the server upgrade
* CBORD diet and patient reports
* Determining User Specs, Hardware Maintenance, Ordering, and Replacement
* Mobile devices, tablets IT Specialist determined user requirements to select the proper mobile devices for Facilities Fit Pro rollout
* New computer setups, Aramark software installation
* Time clock troubleshooting and replacement
* Tray line and WR printer troubleshooting and replacement
* Ticket/Issue triage, resolution, escalation User account administration for all above systems for new users or user lockout
* Account creation, unlock, reset, disable, removal
Qualifications
* Associates Degree in Information Technology Field or equivalent work experience is required. Bachelors Degree is desired.
* Experience with Appetize POS system is a plus.
* Two to four years of progressively responsible experience including, but not limited to, in depth, hands on expertise with large and complex hospitality and Point of Sales systems.
* Strong analysis, organization, communications, interpersonal skills and project management skills are essential.
* Experience with hospitality customer technologies is required.
