Summary:
Help us protect Aptiv, our products and our customers from the most advanced threats affecting the automotive industry. Aptivs Cyber Security team breaks the mold of traditional internal security and focuses on active threats to Aptivs products. Product Security Operations is a growing team within Aptiv Cybersecurity working to protect Aptiv products through threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and incident response. As a Threat Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of cyber threat intelligence relevant to Aptiv products, the connected vehicle ecosystem, and the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of cyber threat intelligence relevant to Aptiv products, the connected vehicle ecosystem, and the automotive industry
* Create and deliver weekly and monthly technical reports on threat landscape
* Represent Aptiv on various committees of the Auto-ISAC and other industry groups
* Perform triage and escalate sensitive or high-impact incidents to PSIRT
* Perform initial triage and scope of detected vulnerabilities
* Conduct proactive research into potential risks
* Create and deliver technical alerts and vulnerability notifications
* Gather and record key indicators and information about threat infrastructure and campaigns
* Prepare assessments and cyber threat profiles of current automotive security events based on collection, research and analysis of open source and third party threat intelligence
* Provide intelligence support during incident response and vulnerability investigations
Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or other technical discipline
* 2+ years experience in threat intelligence analysis or threat research
* Knowledge of different types of threat actors, attack vectors, tools, tactics, and technical data
* Knowledge of vulnerability management and incident response practices
* High level of oral and written communication skills
* High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or other technical discipline
* 5+ years experience in threat intelligence analysis or threat research
* Experience presenting intelligence reports to audiences with broad technical background, including executive management
* Experience with Recorded Future Threat Intelligence tool
* Experience with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
* Technical understanding of POSIX compliant or RTOS operating system(s)
* Knowledge of automotive threat landscape, including threat actors, attack vectors, tools, tactics, and technical data
* Experience working in the automotive industry
