The Opportunity

Own the training needs assessment and content development for Ally Lending Sales employees, managers, and external providers. Provide the framework to assess skill, competency and learning gaps for internal partners. Build scalable content, deliver programs and training materials (internally and externally) to improve individual, business unit, and company performance.

The Work Itself

* Assess skill, competency and product knowledge gaps across the Sales organization and other client facing teams, with an initial focus on external provider training and the internal teams that support them.
* Design, develop and implement robust learning strategies and techniques to drive client-facing employees' effectiveness and ensure top skills and standard methodologies are embedded into the organization
* Manage the design and development of learning solutions using a blended approach that includes instructor led, web-based self-paced, and PowerPoint performance documents
* Procure a learning management software (LMS) for scalable web-based modules
* Partner with the Sales Enablement team to coordinate training inputs for product launches and new company capabilities
* Use 3rd party learning consultants/vendors when appropriate
* Partner with the Ally centralized Learning organization to leverage existing best practices
* Identify metrics to determine effective adoption of the training material
* Ensure that all learning solutions are in line with our business strategies and can be measured to show return on investment

The Skills You Bring

* Deep knowledge of sales training methodologies and mentor programs
* 7+ years' experience designing and delivering training programs using a variety of learning methods
* 7+ years' experience leading sales training efforts
* Extensive facilitation and presentation skills experience
* Experience in developing web-based training modules highly preferred (various LMS systems, e.g. Adobe Captivate, Moodle, Bridge, etc)
* Bachelor's degree
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
* Lending / financial services experience preferred
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent digital literacy including MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
* Experience working cross-functionally, as well as with all levels of employees
* Capable of working both independently and in team situations
* Ability to think both creatively and analytically
* Flexibility to adapt and respond to the needs of a rapidly growing organization
