The Opportunity
The Manager -- Audit Analytics is primarily responsible for the continued build out, improvement, and management of the data analytics program within Ally Audit, and managing/leading all aspects of the execution of DA work on audit projects of Ally's business lines and enterprise/independent risk management functions.
The Work Itself
* Contribute to the management the overall Data Analytics and Automation (DAA) program within Audit Services
* Work with and support Internal Audit teams with data and tool needs
* Manage team of Data Auditors/Analysts, coordinate/review data analytics work performed by team, and direct workload and schedule of DAA team
* Review and interpret DA related work and analyses presented by team members and consistently draw sound conclusions.
* Mentor & develop audit staff and act as a knowledge resource. Effectively identify and communicate unusual and difficult problems to audit leadership.
* Support Audit teams in creation of automated testing, and Continuous Monitoring through the use of data analytics and automation
* Obtain key source system data as requested by Audit Management
* Manage the administration of DAA tools (ACL, Tableau, etc.)
* Ensure Audit data repositories are maintained
* Identify and lead the development of DAA training materials and opportunities
* Handle the tracking / reporting of DA related metrics
* Research new DAA approaches / technology through internal / external sources
* Participate as a team member on various process improvement projects designed to meet departmental needs such a participating in DA industry peer group meetings and surveys, fulfilling ad-hoc reporting requests from Audit Services leadership, and assisting with other day-to-day operational responsibilities as needed
The Skills You Bring
* 5+ years' experience in Audit, Risk, banking, financial services, and/or function specific experience required
* Strong leadership and managerial skills (detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed, organized, etc.) with proven track record of increasing responsibilities
* Demonstrated skill in successfully leading teams with an emphasis on staff development
* Demonstrated history of learning new skill sets as needed to perform challenging and sophisticated tasks
* Ability to research, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks, projects and demands, assigning resources when appropriate
* Bachelor's degree in related field of study
* Certification preferred (CIA, CPA, CISA)
* Occasional travel required
* Expertise with relevant analytics tools including, but not limited to, Audit Command Language (ACL),Tableau Business Intelligence Tool, and PowerBI. Other CAAT experience (i.e., BI Publisher, Cognos, Spotfire, Qlikview, SQL, SAS) desirable
* RPA experience desirable
* Expertise with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required, Access and Sharepoint preferred)
* Familiarity with Data Warehouse and Data Mart concepts
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
* Ability to excel both as an individual contributor and in highly interactive team environments
