Job Description
The Visa Business Solutions, B2B Acceptance team has the responsibility for defining and executing the global B2B product vision for Visa's commercial merchant solutions. With $20T in untapped card-able spend, Visa is positioning itself to capture more than its fair share of this opportunity by focusing on improving the value proposition of card payments for merchants accepting B2B payments. This includes developing strategies and capabilities that enhance the B2B Merchant payment experience in the areas of costs and end-to-end process.
We are responsible for the commercialization of new and enhanced products and services, research and thought leadership, and product engagement with our issuing & acquiring partners. The team serves financial institutions, selected partnerships, and their downstream clients by providing payment products and services to the large and middle market corporate, multinational companies, governments and commercial supply chain, and B2B segments. The B2B Acceptance team works collaboratively with Visas Merchant Services Accounts, B2B Partnerships and Commercial Sales organizations around the globe.
The Director, Product Strategy is responsible for the full product lifecycle of B2B product strategy, vision, roadmap, platforms, assets, and solutions that serve the needs of our clients and their large and middle market corporates. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, vision, problem solving and breadth, as you will work in close collaboration with regional counterparts around the world to drive and take new solutions from vision to launch.
This role requires strong thought leadership, influencing, analytical, collaborative and technical product skills. Diplomacy to manage collaborative relationships and expectations, while ensuring a strong global approach and alignment, is critical to succeeding in this role. In addition to product management experience, this role requires deep expertise in product development, commercial payments, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable practices. Experience with network, issuer, processor or expense management software partners is a plus.
Responsibilities
* Drives strategy across the B2B Acceptance team contributing to Products and Solutions, Supplier Enablement Services and Client Management disciplines.
* Defines, develops, launches, owns, maintains, and refines B2B solutions.
* Develops and maintains product roadmap(s).
* Leads voice of the customer campaigns. Develops and executes on feedback loop.
* Conducts gap analysis, competitive analysis, and build/partner/buy analysis.
* Collaborates with platform owners on prioritization of roadmap items.
* Develops and executes client facing product discussions.
* Envisions new features, functions or offerings based on Visa (or market) innovation.
* Drives growth based on new ways to solve Large & Middle Market business problems.
* Authors, Identifies and executes on activities for white papers and case studies.
* Other product marketing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* 10 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
* 12-15 years of product management/development experience with a Bachelors Degree. Advanced degrees are a plus. (e.g. Masters or MBA).
* People Leader with extensive B2B experience (12-15+ years) in Product/Sales and P/L management, preferably in Commercial card.
* Knowledge of all electronic payment types including Commercial card payments experience.
* Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross-functional teams including technical and non-technical resources.
* Strong results-oriented leader; analytic and fact-based consultative discipline demonstrating a growth mindset.
* Adds value to customers by insightful and thoughtful questioning, offering new ideas, and delivering solutions.
* Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.
* Ability to work with leading industry partners and negotiate effectively to achieve desired outcome.
* Able to work independently and in a matrixed environment.
* MBA or equivalent work experience required.

Physical Requirements:
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
Travel Requirements:
This position will require the incumbent to travel for work up to 25% of the time.
Work Hours:
Incumbent must make themselves available for meetings with clients and Visa regional teams early morning and evenings occasionally as needed.
