Job Summary:
ABC Entertainment develops and produces compelling programming and some of the most successful and talked-about series on television today, including falls No. 1 new drama, Big Sky.
The ABCE Visual Communications team is responsible for handling all visual publicity efforts for ABCE programming, including photography, video and junkets. The ideal candidate is someone who is interested in pursuing a career in visual communications as a photo or video producer. This individual will play a hands-on role in assisting the Visual Communications team with photo and video shoots, photo and video editing and selection, EPK interviews and administrative tasks supporting the team.
Responsibilities:
* Helping promote our shows to press through compelling storytelling using photos and video
* Curating and disseminate information to team
* Sending assets to press
* Managing media files
* Serving as a (remote) production assistant on publicity video shoots
* Contributing to social media efforts
* Logging video and fulfilling clip requests
* Assisting (remotely) at publicity and FYC events, including some evenings and weekends
* Photo editing
* Photo captioning
* Assisting with producing photo shoots
* Assisting with archiving photography
* Assisting coordinator with hiring photographers
* Assisting with invoicing
* Tracking video projects
* Create and maintain schedules and press lists
Basic Qualifications:
* Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite
* Proficiency in Adobe, Photoshop, Power Point and Photo Mechanic
* Understanding of photography or strong interest in photography
* Previous media/PR internship experience
* Strong organizational/multi-tasking/prioritization skills; proficient written and verbal communication skills; ability to see projects through to completion; self-starter/able to take initiative
* Interpersonal/relationship-building skills; ability to take feedback and direction
* Strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
* Strong familiarity or hands-on experience with field and post-production of video
Preferred Qualifications:
* Looking for someone interested in pursuing a career in visual communications as a photo or video producer
* Junior or Senior-level standing, or a recent graduate
* Prior internship experience within a related field is a plus, but not essential
Additional Information:
Eligibility
All students must possess unrestricted work authorization.
All students must be at least 18 years old.
At the time of application, must currently be enrolled in an accredited college or university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring) prior to participating in the program OR be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last eighteen (18) months - OR - be currently participating in a Disney Professional Internship.
Work Environment
This internship is a remote internship. The internships requires a working, reliable internet connection, as well as a quiet, dedicated work space.
All candidates must be available from May through August.
All candidates must be willing to work 40 hours/week.
All students must provide a consistent, reliable work schedule during the session.
