Job Summary:
The vision of the Walt Disney World Marketing Strategy organization is to be the most imaginative marketers of immersive entertainment, inspiring people worldwide to make their Disney dreams come true. Our ultimate objective is to drive consumer demand, visitation and revenue goals for the Walt Disney World Resort.
The Marketing Strategy team achieves this goal by developing strategies and communication plans to reach and influence the consumer mindset and behavior including desire to take a Disney vacation, visiting during a specific season, reaching a special consumer segment, staying in a Walt Disney World Resort, and purchasing a Walt Disney World ticket. This position would work with Consumer Insight and Marketing Analytics, Revenue Management and Analytics, Operations and Commercial Strategy to determine needs.
As a Marketing Strategy Manager, you will develop a consumer strategy and lead a cross-discipline team including Public Affairs, Advertising, Media, CRM, Digital and Relationship Marketing to develop a creative campaign and communication plan that is maximized to support Disney brand, consumer needs and business goals.
The Marketing Strategy Manager position reports to the Sr. Manager - Marketing Strategy
Responsibilities:
* Develop Marketing Strategies to deliver goals
* Bring strategic input to guide marketing plan development
* Lead communication plan development across teams
* Evaluate campaign creative and monitor performance
* Understanding of new media landscape and capabilities
* Work with Consumer Insight team to understand audience opportunities, motivators and barriers
* Work with Revenue Management & Analytics, Consumer Insight and Marketing Analytics, Commercial Strategy and Operations to identify needs
* Manage multi-million dollar program budget and develop after action reviews
Basic Qualifications:
* 5+ years of relevant work experience
* Hispanic Marketing expertise including Hispanic language, culture proficiency and market knowledge.
* Technical Marketing skills to develop strategic input, business cases and Marketing Communication Plans
* Experience in strategic planning and project management
* Foster and develop partnership with other teams
* Interpret data analyses and draw marketing implications from research and consumer insight
* Experienced at conducting presentations to all levels within the organization
* Budget management
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with national level campaigns and marketing target audience expertise, specifically young families.
* Develop go to market programs deploying micro segmentation and advanced digital targeting capabilities
* Knowledge of product development and new product launches
* Previous work experience in Marketing Strategy, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Advertising Agency, Brand Management (Internal only: Pricing, Industrial Engineering, Premium Services, Operations, Finance)
Required Education
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or Equivalent
Preferred Education
* Masters of Business Administration
