How will you make an impact?
The New Product Introduction Engineer 2013 Electrical (NPIE) will be the Technical Product Owner throughout Product Lifecycle from the transfer from R&D to NPI, and then from NPI through Sustaining. He/She will lead the Engineering Design Changes/Product Features (Electrical, Mechanicals & Firmware) that will improve the Bioprocess Equipment and Automation Performance, Quality, and Reliability. The PE will collaborate and leverage Product Engineering (HW/SW), Supplier Development, Product Test, Process Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Test/Automation, Product Data Management, and Manufacturing Engineering partners to drive Product Design Improvements and triage defects from factory and/or customer failures.
What will you do?
* Provide new product introduction support for ongoing engineering from pre-concept commit through EOL
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders in development of processes, technology to support new product development
* BOM structuring and BOM risk Management
* Collaborate with design (hardware and mechanical) team for Dfx issues and ensure that they are resolved prior to release of the product.
* Drive and participate in design and manufacturing FMEA
* Provide leadership in driving the product quality issues in NPI and sustaining
* Value engineering and cost avoidance (pre-production release)
* Crafting, analyzing, and releasing product documentation
* Technical lifecycle management (defect reduction team participation, new component qualification, etc)
* Define product test strategy
* Leadership and direction of complex issue resolution
* Participate on new product introduction teams as the technical representative for Manufacturing
* May be required to perform other duties as assigned
How will you get here?
Education
* Electrical or Technical Engineering degree or equivalent demonstrated experience
Experience
* Minimum 5 years2019 experience in Electrical Engineering in a production environment
* Experience with designing control panels is a plus
* Experience with motors and power analysis a plus
* Experience with profibus/modbus a plus
* Qualification experience 2013 IQ, OQ, PV, PQ is a plus
* Past experience in Biopharmaceutical industry with cGMP, FDA and ISO13485 guidelines is a plus
* Experience with lean manufacturing methods and philosophies
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* AutoCAD is a plus
* Experience with various statistical analysis tools and methods
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and interdepartmental coordination skills
* Self-motivated and mastery of problem-solving skills using investigative tools (5 Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis, 8D, etc.)
* Excellent technical writing skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
* Experience in DOE and FEA and associated software tools a plus
