2ndShift/Sun-Thursdays/2pm-10:30pm/Material Handler

How will you make an impact?

A Material Handler works in a fast-paced environment in all areas of Logistics with the goal of meeting/exceeding both our internal and external customers2019 expectation. These include but are not limited to: Picking and staging raw materials and parts, upholding accurate inventory levels and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

What will you do?

2022 Picking and staging Work Orders from a pick list
2022 Operating material handling equipment
2022 Working in and out of a -20C Freezer and 5C Cold Room.
2022 Support interdepartmental communication relating to several groups such as: Inventory Control, Manufacturing, QC, Multiple labs, Shipping, receiving.
2022 Inventory Receipt and Storing of new approved materials.
2022 Executes Material Request Forms & material movements for material requests including scrap execution
2022 Supports PPI continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
2022 Familiar with working and managing to Service Level Agreements (SLA2019s)
2022 Executes Material Request Forms & material movements for material requests including scrap execution.
2022 Supports real time inventory discrepancies, Research & identify root cause.
2022 Assume responsibility for special projects assigned by the Team Leads, Supervisor and/or management.
2022 Perform frequent inventory, stock rotation and cycle counting.
2022 May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

Working Conditions:

2022 Performs work of a highly repetitive nature.
2022 Will walk and may occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift up to 50 lbs.
2022 May handle 201Cpackaged201D hazardous materials.
2022 The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
2022 Must be available to work any shift (with advance notice of shift change).
2022 Must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed.
2022 Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.

2022 Complying with all company safety regulations and procedures and report non-compliance.
2022 Serving as an effective safety steward by ensuring accurate reporting of near misses and attending safety trainings.
2022 Operating a safe work environment through continuous safety awareness and full compliance to all EHS programs and activities.
2022 Maintain compliance to PPE requirements

How will you get there?

2022 Requires a minimum of 1 2013 3 years related experience, preferred. Experience with Inventory Control is a plus.
2022 High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2022 Demonstrates strong communication skills

2022 Interacts equally well with all employees utilizing strong interpersonal skills
2022 Follows written and verbal instructions accurately and efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

2022 Experience using powered industrial trucks
2022 Experience with inventory program (e.g. E1)
2022 Experience with Continuous Improvement and 5S theories and principles
2022 Experience with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
