Stryker is hiring an R&D Scientist, Biologics in Memphis, TN.

The R&D Scientist, Biologics is an entry level position and is responsible for working under supervision of engineers and scientists to complete tasks related to maintaining the flow of commercialized product. This individual will also be training for assisting engineers in research and product development activities related to orthopedic biologic medical devices

What you will do:

* Maintain existing product in accordance with the company's and industry standards.
* Provide support to Clinical and Regulatory Affairs for submissions and responses to regulatory authorities.
* Remediate product files to bring them up to current standards
* Perform testing on current products as required.
* Develop product testing plans which will ensure the safety and efficacy of products under development.
* Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all functional areas within the company.
* Provide ongoing technical support to manufacturing areas within the company and/or vendors during production of current products.
* Prepare and submit written and oral communications to technical consultants and other functions within the company which describe the performance and intended design concepts of our products.

What we need:

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent required

Preferred Qualifications:

* 1+ years of medical device product development or process engineering experience with focus on biomaterials used in regenerative medicine
* Life Sciences background (cell, tissue, physiology, biochemistry, chemistry, etc.)
* Previous lab training or experience via education, internships, project or industry experience
* Understanding of biologic materials
